“It all started a long time ago with my parents, a couple that loved all things Indian and beautiful.”

Nandita was born in Mumbai to a family with a long history in the jewellery business. A childhood spent around paintings, antiques, vintage textiles and traditional Indian jewellery has deeply shaped her aesthetic.

After college in the US, a spell in the Internet media in San Francisco, and five years in London, Nandita returned to Mumbai to do what she loves best: collect beautiful things.

Nandita personally selects each item in her collection from designers and artisans around the world, as well as designs pieces herself. Her collection of precious and semi-precious jewellery is set in silver or gold and includes pieces that are both traditional and contemporary. Her jewellery is by all accounts wearable and budget-friendly, and her customers include people from all walks of life.

Nandita is in her element in markets and alleyways, rummaging through bags of antique silver pendants or boxes of beautifully enamelled Kundan pieces. Recognising this passion and her eye for unusual, vintage and artisanal pieces, her clients often request her to source antique textiles and objet d’art for their homes.

Nandita lives in Mumbai with her husband and two children.
